Season 6: Animals and
Museum Objects/Collections

Rosa Dyer joins the show as a co-host of Season 6 of the Animal Highlight to discuss animals and museum objects/collections. The Animal Highlight is a sister podcast of The Animal Turn that is hosted and produced by Claudia Towne Hirtenfelder. In Season 6 you will learn about a wide range of animals, including parasitoid wasps, pygmy hippos, and extinct birds such as the dodo and the huia. Rosa helps us to tap into some of animal stories about animals found in natural history museums, prompting questions about how we can know historical animals and some of their indigenous, colonial, and often times violent pasts.
